“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” When we consider this scripture we see Jesus teaching us a biblical principle that should be very foundational for our life. Investors would agree to the importance of considering what type of ROI (Return on Investment) you should anticipate before business transactions. ROI measures the efficiency in converting a business investment to yield a profit. Therefore, it is vital to know if a business venture is a worthwhile investment.

In this scripture, Jesus has assured us that our investment into the Kingdom is not only worthwhile there is a guaranteed profit you will experience. In this scripture He explains the type of return we can expect,  our blessing will be a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Consider for a moment what happens when you began to pour water into a glass if you don’t stop before the glass fills you can expect an overpour of the water so much that it’s running over. This is a visual of what Jesus is teaching us about the principle of giving and sowing seeds into the Kingdom.
